Honoring God

Thank you Pastor Q for coming today! Today we talked about honoring God. In this world, we see a flow. Everyone follows it;the latest trends, music, fads, but what if we set apart ourselves to honor God. Nothing can change if we don't do anything. The greatest thing about God is that when we honor God He honors us, because He loves us and loves when His children show their love for Him. Questions

We are thankful that Pastor B came to visit us again. So basically he answered some leftover questions from last time he was here. This time he tackled some really good questions. Such as why do bad things happen to bad people. Its great to see the sovereignty of God and His love for us through what Pastor B spoke. The Sex Question

Today during our meeting we talked about touchy issue, sex. We thank Jeff for coming and talking to us from what he knows and his years of experience.  The Church many times avoids this question and because of this many christians have only small portions and often twisted truths about how God views sex. We learned that God gave sex as a gift between man and a woman, something that bonds them together spiritually and is essentially an act of worship, but many times it is exploited and used in contexts where it shouldn't be leaving many empty and torn souls. God wants us to keep our selves pure for His sake and for our future partner's sake. There is much more to talk about but that's the gist of it. Who is Jesus?

Today we talked who Jesus is. Who is this one person? We find according to the Bible that He is many things. He is God, Bread of life, The Truth, Life, the Way and much more. Jesus is everything to us. He provides us with the care and love we need. He is the One who can satify all needs and He asks us to come to Him. He wants to show us what life to the fullest means. If you want to share about who He has been for you please share or if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Come who are weary

So today we talked about how God is our rest. All of us have struggles and look for a place where we can just lay our head and forget about our troubles. Well God provides that for us in Him. He wants us to know that He is there for us to carry us through. Trust in God for He cares for you. If you have any questions(personal or just whatever) comment or send an email.

Questions Day

So today basically anyone who had a question about God or anything like that wrote it down for Pastor B to answer. We're sorry if you didn't get your question answered, but we plan to have another session just like this one later this year. Worshiping God

Today we talked worshiping God. We must realized how great God is. Sometimes we get to caught up in ourselves we forget that God is there, all worthy of praise. Whatever we go through, whatever we see, whatever we feel knowing who He is we must worship Him and that is when we can let go of what's holding unto us. Think of how great He is...

Knowing God

Today we talked about knowing God through experiences. We discussed how Abraham learned that God is the God who provides through his obedience to God. Think about some experinces in your life where you might have learned more of God. Pray that God will reveal Himself more to you. Knowing God is what will quench our thirst.

The Practical God

So today we talked about how God is practical. He's not just a God who gives commands and watches from afar, but He truly is a loving God who wants to lavish His best on us. He wants to be an integral part of your life not just the guy from the good book. Don't underestimate God's love for you.

Chosen

I thank Pastor Q for coming to speak to us today. It was very moving to learn how much God values us. To think we were worth Him sending His own Son to die. Not to say we deserve to be valued this much, but it is just that God loves His children so. We don't have to worry about what others say or what the enemy says about us, for we know what is true and what matters, and that is that we are delightful in God's eyes.

Selling Your Possessions

Today Jimmy led us into a discussion about the rich man. Jesus was pleased with the rich man but for one thing; his wealth. Jesus called the rich man to sell all his possessions to the poor in order that he may follow Him. The rich man walked away sad because he couldn't. Jesus occasionally calls us to give up something that is hindering us from taking the next step. It may seem impossible, but just do it and trust in God.

God Chooses Us

Today we talked about how God chooses us and not the other way around. Think about how God has called you and what He has shown you about Himself. There are no new events planned, just the regular Thursday meetings. Tell us what's on your mind.

Walking with God

Today we talked about walking with God. Just walking with Him. It's a pretty simple concept, but it's something that we all struggle with all the time. It's time to just sit back from where you are and say "How is my walk with God?". Love God with all You have because is all You have in the end. Here and now Satan is beautiful, but let us look to the true Beauty and not waver from it. As we walk the only thing that will keep us with God is to look to God. We may have to give our all, but is our all really in the light of His Glory and Grace?

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

Loving God with Our All

So today we discussed loving God with our all. All of us find that we often don't do that. Think about how you can love God with your all even in school. Talk to God about it. If you have any questions you can leave them here and we'll try to answer it the best we can. I believe the prayer for life is in the morning on Jan. 12 at the flagpole. Hope to see you there!
